For those who couldn't attend the last events/media meeting, here is the
"scoop" on the event planned for the April 20th (no conspiracy or secret
action afoot, i promise...). We are planning an event to coincide with
Washington's peace march-- and
are putting together a flyer to send out with all the relevant details--

but I can give you the most important info right now:

RALLY/MARCH FOR PEACE IN PHOENIX

Sat, April 20
Tempe Towne Lake
11am-noon

We will begin our rally with a speaker to inspire us to protest war as
well as create peaceful alternatives to war, both internationally and on
a personal level (either Mr. Dwarko Sundrani, one of the last living
disciples of Gandhi-- depending on availability-- or Dr. Sri Sridharan,
a local peace/justice activist.)

Rally begins at 11am at Tempe Towne Lake--we will march at 11:30 down
Mill Ave (route to be
determined)...with informal peace celebrations to follow at the park
after...bring musical instruments, food to share, a blanket to put on
the grass, etc. We'll provide some art activities (paint rocks for
peace!) and the like.
